Out-feed Table Construction Details
Return to Table-saw Page
I have had a couple emails asking me to detail the
construction details of my out-feed table, so here are a few
more pictures.
If you still have any questions, please feel free to
contact me. I am happy to help if I
can.

The tabletop is made from a 3/4" sheet of MDF and covered
with High Pressure Laminate. I have found this is much more
durable than using a similar piece of melamine. I made a frame
and attached it as if I were attaching a hardwood tabletop. I
was not concerned with wood movement, but rather being able to
replace the tabletop easily. I simply used some pine frame the
tabletop attached with biscuits. If I were to make this again, I
would use a hardwood.

The front of the table is leveled with a couple carriage
bolts that are locked in place with a hex-nut at the bottom of
the 2X2 legs. The legs are attached to tabletop with a couple of
small hinges and braced with 1" aluminum bar stock (right
picture).

The back of the table connects to the saw with a couple of
'L' brackets. A double hex nut allows the table to be raised or
lowered, so that it is just BELOW the back of the table saw.

The Unifence has a piece of angle iron that hangs off the
back of the saw. I drilled a couple holes (below) in the bottom
of the 'L' and the 1/4" carriage bolts (above) slips through the
hole and is held in place with a wing nut from the bottom.
